We are very excited to share our new hybrid wood chippers with you. In this post, we are showcasing our new machines, while explaining how they work and what this means for our clients.
Introducing The New Hybrid Chipper
Our latest piece of kit is the 8-inch wood chipper, which allows us to deliver more forms of tree care across the region due to its large capacity and efficient operation.
This hybrid wood chipper has a larger capacity than other machines in our arsenal. We can now reduce logs up to 8 inches in diameter, which opens our services up to a wider range of landscapes and tree care needs.
As this is a hybrid wood chipper, it is also much more efficient to run. It uses a smaller percentage of horsepower than standard machines of this size, yet continues to be highly effective. This hybrid power comes from the supercapacitor, which essentially makes the machine self-fueling.
When additional power is needed during the wood-chipping process, it will be generated from the supercapacitor. This prevents the need for more diesel to be added, making it more sustainable and affordable to run.
Machines of this size usually have a much larger horsepower engine, meaning more diesel will be needed to complete the project. However, by relying on the internal system of the supercapacitor, our new hybrid wood chipper is more environmentally friendly as less fuel is required and burnt.
This allows us to continue our conservation work and sustainable practices while also caring for local landscapes.
Greater Recycling Potential
With this hybrid wood chipper, the Beechwood Tree Care team can now handle 10 times more material than before.
The larger capacity of these hybrid wood chippers provides us with more space to handle larger groups of trees and materials. With a greater capacity, we can recycle more of the trees we work with, allowing us to meet more environmental goals and sustainable practices.
Usually, branches were the only thing that could be fed through wood chippers, but the greater capacity of our hybrid machines means we can now hold larger volumes of wood. This means that more of the trees we are working with, whether this is a tree removal, standard pruning, or pollarding project, can be chipped and recycled.
Generating wood chips not only makes the site easier to clean up after our services but can also lead to more environmental benefits. Wood chips are a highly useful material for a range of purposes, and our team frequently recycles our wood chips, whether this is as burnt as biomass fuel in power stations or as landscaping mulch to provide better care to your plants.
